The Origin Story

Built by engineers, for engineers.

In 2021, three former Bloomberg engineers sat in a cramped coffee shop in the Mission District, frustrated by the complexity of enterprise financial tools. They realized that the same data analysis capabilities used by Wall Street were inaccessible to the rest of the world.

They teamed up with a product designer who believed that data visualization shouldn't just be functional—it should be beautiful. Together, they founded Voxel with a simple mission: to democratize institutional-grade financial intelligence.

Today, we're a fully remote-first team of 38,000 users across 14 countries, but we still operate with the same hacker spirit that started in that coffee shop. We obsess over the details, we ship fast, and we never stop asking "why."
